Save the Children Sweden has been working in the Middle East and North Africa Region (MENA) since 1963 and runs projects across the region through offices in Lebanon, the Occupied Palestinian Territories (OPT) and Yemen.
In cooperation with local partners we work on providing quality education and protection for children under all settings including emergencies, and on strengthening the capacities of civil society organisations that are active actors for child right issues.
In the MENA region we work in partnership with non-governmental organisations and community groups to achieve our objectives. These partners have full and independent responsibility for their work. Our collaboration with partner organisations aims at promoting mutual learning and enhancing their capabilities in becoming independent, sustainable monitors and promoters of child rights.
