Every child has the right to life. Yet in 2009 around 8 million young children and newborn babies will die needlessly from conditions that are easily preventable and treatable. Save the Children has a vision of a world where no young child dies from preventable causes and where people will not tolerate a return to high levels of child deaths. We are building a global campaign, the Newborn and Child Survival Campaign, to ensure the world keeps its promise and saves millions of children's lives.
