Emergency Preparedness

As Lebanon is a country prone to emergencies, SCS aims to set proper preparedness work through the development of Emergency Preparedness Plans.  This will require analyzing the context, mapping main players and identifying available resources on the ground.  SCS foresees a number of capacity building initiatives for staff, partners and children, thereby creating a platform for rapid and informed responses.

Additionally, the aim is that after four years, SCS will have a set methodology for child lead disaster reduction in armed crises as well as a system for developing local EPPs for both vulnerable socio-economic areas.

Save the Children Sweden added value

SCS brings in its expertise as lead in the advocacy work during emergencies. SCS Lebanon will support partners with the necessary international knowledge and tools to help them be prepared for any natural or man-made disaster.
