Making Space for Children: Planning for post-disaster reconstruction with children and their families

This handbook grew out of a workshop with Save the Children staff, partners and community members in 2006. The objective was to give children and adults the chance to plan the changes they wanted to make in their settlement as it underwent reconstruction following the tsunami and for staff members to learn from the process. The handbook is an attempt to both document this process, and to make the principles behind it more widely available.
