World Refugee Day

Ensuring the right to quality education for more than 1500 Iraqi children throughout the country through its BPRM-funded program “Ta’leem”, Save the Children participated for the third year in the event. Save the children distributed coloring books and pens for participating children, as well as child rights awareness tools for parents and educators. The illustrations of the distributed coloring books call for non-discrimination against refugee children and their rights to learn and play in a violence free environment.

Organized yearly by UNHCR, hundreds of refugee children in Lebanon – mainly Iraqis and Palestinians - participated this year in an open day at Saidet Al Jamhour School. Games, Puppet Theater, handcrafts activities, singing competition, a capoera show and many other activities were awaiting them.
