Reporting and monitoring mechanisms on child rights’ violations are being established in 25 Community Based Organizations (CBOs) across the Gaza Strip, as part of Save the Children Sweden’s (SCS) project to protect the rights of Palestinian children affected by armed conflict through community-based mechanisms. The reporting and monitoring mechanisms are improving the capacity of CBOs to identify and address child rights issues in better integrated and effective programs and are strengthening the CBOs’ rights-based advocacy work. These mechanisms are therefore enhancing the capacities of communities and public authorities to address the short, medium and long term educational and psychosocial impact of armed conflict on Palestinian children and related rights violations.
