Fact Sheet - Rights violation caused by armed conflict in Gaza

As part of the project “Protecting the Rights of Children in Armed Conflicts in Gaza”, the Palestinian Center for Human Rights (PCHR), in partnership with Save the Children Sweden (SCS), issued the first fact sheet of five, documenting children’s rights violations in Gaza.

This initiative contributes to the Monitoring and Reporting Mechanism (MRM) based on the United Nations Security Council Resolution 1612. The six grave rights violations defined by the resolution and reported here are: killing and maiming, abduction, use of children as child soldiers, attacks on schools and hospitals, sexual violence and freedom of movement. In 2007, three further child rights violations have been added specifically within the oPt: detention, torture and forced displacement.
